Halfords performed an MOT on our car 3 months ago. However a couple of days ago the coiled spring suspension on one side of our car snapped. Luckily the car was stationary at the time. We had to have it towed to an RAC recommended garage who fixed it but told us the springs/metalwork were in a very poor state and this should have been picked up in the MOT. The consequences for us if this had happened whilst driving on a motorway would have been potentially catastrophic. Having contacted them for comment they seemed unconcerned. Not impressed.
